Getting Started
Applying for a mortgage can seem overwhelming. Here at
Bridgeport Lending our goal is to make the process as painless as possible. Here
is some basic information to help you get started:
Information required to complete your loan application:
- List your home
addresses for the last two years, including zip codes.
- Names and complete
addresses of all employers for the last two years, including zip codes.
- Names, account numbers,
and addresses for all savings, checking, credit union & other asset
accounts with approximate balances.
- List all open credit
card accounts, mortgages and loans that you are currently obligated to pay.
Please itemize all balances, monthly payments and account numbers.
- Itemize all real estate
owned; list present market value, mortgages and gross rental income, if
applicable.
The following documentation will also be required to complete
a loan application:
- Copies of your last two
years of W-2s and most recent pay check stubs.
- For
self-employed borrowers: a current Profit and Loss statement and last two
years of IRS tax returns.
- Most recent statements
for all banks, investments and stocks & bonds in your portfolio.
- Names and addresses and
account numbers on any retirement income; award letters for social security
income, military pay and any other retirement benefits.
- A
legible copy of the Purchase and Sale agreement if this is a purchase
transaction.
- Copies of all rental
and/or lease agreements on any properties you own.
- Copies of documents
regarding a bankruptcy or divorce during the past ten years.
- If
down payment funds for the closing of your purchase are coming from the sale
of another property, we will need a copy of the closing statement on that
property.
- If
you are not an U.S. Citizen, please provide a copy of the front and back of
your Green Card.
